The Film

Key Differences

The film introduces a major villain not present in the book. The character of Jacob is given a more action-hero role in the film. Several peculiar abilities and characters are changed or omitted for cinematic reasons.

Our Verdict

Read the book first

The film offers a visually rich experience but diverges significantly from the source material, making it better to read the book first for a fuller understanding of the story and characters.
