The Film

A man in London tries to help a counter-espionage agent, but when the agent is killed and the man stands accused, he must go on the run to save himself and stop a spy ring that is trying to steal top-secret information.

Key Differences

The film introduces a romantic interest not present in the book. The spy ring's motives and details are simplified in the film. The film adds more suspenseful chases and action sequences than the book.

Our Verdict

Enjoy both!

The film is a classic thriller that captures the spirit of the book while adding cinematic elements to enhance suspense and entertainment. Both reading the book and watching the film provide valuable but different experiences.
