The Book

Set in a dystopian future where the villains have won, an aged and pacifist Logan is drawn out of retirement to escort a blind Hawkeye across the lawless wasteland. A brutal, emotional story of redemption and regret.

The Film

In a dystopian future, an aging Wolverine cares for an ailing Professor X while protecting a young mutant girl from dark forces. As his past catches up with him, Logan must confront his legacy and fight for survival.

Key Differences

The film changes the setting from a post-apocalyptic America ruled by villains to a more grounded near-future scenario. The character of Hawkeye is replaced by a young mutant girl named Laura/ X-23. The film adds more personal drama and emotional depth not as prominent in the original comic.

Our Verdict

Enjoy both!

The film adaptation captures the spirit and themes of the comic while making necessary changes for cinematic storytelling, making it worthwhile to both read the comic and watch the film.
